Remminton 700 Police .308

Is it possible to get rid of the spring loading system on the Remmington 700 Police .308 and switch it up with a clip???

My 700P came with a detatchable mag...
I think Keith C. of Micun does a conversion using an HS Precision 10 rd magazine kit, but it ain't cheap.

Rick @ Alberta Tactical Rifles and Ed @ VBull precision (Both are contributing members on this board) can do it, however it is not a kit you can do it yourself, it needs gunsmith attention & would recommend a glass bedding job also.

Either V-Bull or HS mag conversions are exellent.

You bet!!

You can go with an HS Precision, Vbull, Badger, or a factory mag if you can find one. The factory will require some work to the stock and the feed rails in the action. Not sure if the HS needs work but I don't think so. The Vbull (look at the adds on the top of the page) and the badger are conversions for the AI mag's. There is a price difference but the Vbull does look better. I think they both require some minor modifications to the stock aswell but not as much as putting in a factory mag. Factory mags hold four rounds and HS I think makes a 5 rnd and 10 rnd mag while the AI mags are 10 rnds only, maby a 5 rnd but I'm not sure. I'm just looking into all the options myself so I'm happy to share.

I love HS #### but they are hard to comeby & super pricy!!

Like Steve D said & I know we think alike , can't go wrong with the V-Bull.

That one is a .260rem model 700 with HS mag kit.

Just picked up my new AI 2.0 today, never owned one and all I can say is that the mags are so rock solid. There are a lot of good kits, like Badger, HS and a few others, but V-Bull is so solid and those AI mags are just impossible to beat. Airborn, nice set up there.

I have installed both the Badger and the VBull. Both work well, but the VBull is by far the best made and it looks better. Also VBull is Canadian!
