I was wondering what the H was for, I figured the TX was Texas..... :)

Great looking optic and the fact it will work on all the footprints while still sitting as low as possible is brilliant design.

The only thing better would be if the optics company's all standardized their foot print.

Edit, listening to the Q&A, looks like it's the RMR-A and B footprints and the Glock MOS only, so not setup for Docter/Noblex or the micro footprints.

At the price they’re selling for. I’m not sure the advantage over the ACRO P2 is worth it

I thought the price for the new US optic with lifetime/trasferable warranty etc was about the same as the Swedish optic with their 10 year consumer, 2 year pro warranty.

I've never used either one but I'd take the longer transferable warranty and smaller size of the Texas made unit any day if the price is close.

Primary Arms has been an impressive company to watch develop from cheap red dot's into one of the more innovative optics company's out there.

I won't lie, I didn't watch the videos and assumed it was significantly cheaper. Sounds like I was wrong. I will agree PA puts out some pretty good Chinesium.

They just opened a factory in Houston Texas and the new HTX-1 is the first new product to be made there.

It's not all American parts though, apparently the crystals for the emitter are grown in Germany and then the emitter is built using those crystals in Texas.

I beleive the PLX series is mostly Japanesium.

That is good news to me. As they continue to grow they will keep bringing things closer as much as they can.
It sure looks like the price of energy is going to be the new cheap labour going forward and as long as the cost of technology keeps dropping we will see all sorts of manufacturing becoming more local or going where there are signifigant energy savings to be had.

The writing has been on the wall for cheap Chinese goods for a long time now. It's disappointing as there actually seems to be fairly consistent and reasonable quality, finally.

People get what they pay for in China the same as in Canada..... the Chinese are happy to make cheap junk if that's what their client wants..... and people in the west talk green(environment) but they walk green (money)

The Green new Deal is exactly that.

There is a small window of opportunity with new tech that we can evolve into a different paradigm and move away from power, control, greed etc..... but the odds are stacked against it. Dumb luck may be our best hope.
