Ljutic shotguns

An old friend with several health issues one of which is a slow loss of his eye sight wants to sell me his trap gun.
Hope my spelling is correct....it is a Ljutic Mono Trap...I think.
Can anyone tell me about these, is it a good quality shotgun ?
Unless I'm mistaken it is a single shot.
I'd like to find out a bit more about it just to make sure that it would be ok for starting into the sport of trap for a novice...( me).
Any info will be really appreciated.
 
Break action trap single made by ljutic of Yakima Washington...excellent quality, many of them have gone many hundreds of thousands of rounds. They seem to have fell from favor a bit and it may be because people who want to spend alot on a trap gun will want the option of using it for doubles. Last time I looked the Mono trap model went for around $4000 US, I'll have to check with google to see if they are still in business.

Thanks Ben,...at that rate it would probably be a good buy for $800 which is what the the old gent wants....no more, no less...

Jump on it! Even if it does not fit, at that price new wood and a re build and you will have a great trap gun.

PS Today I read that Al's son Joe Ljutic passed on. Most of the family were/are hall of fame trap shooters

Well if you don't want it at that price then I know a potential buyer. ;)

Regardless of condition that is a give away price for a Ljutic.
