Tikka T3X Hunter Grade 3

Just pulled this out of the box and I’m rather impressed by the grade 3 walnut, thought I’d share

Funny you mention that as I was actually thinking to do that as a nice upgrade. I’ve followed his posting for a while but haven’t needed anything from him yet.

Beautiful rifle. Alloy bottom metal would be my next move. I'd keep the stock mags though - be a shame to tacky that thing up with a big blocky magazine.

They’re sold as grade 3, the complete model from the box lists it as “Tikka Hunter Grade 3”. I’m not knowledgeable enough to grade walnut hahaha.

There is also a grade 2.5 available here, seems to be a bit more common or a bit more of them came in compared to the grade 3, I’m not sure but I see a few sites listing them for sale.

Precision Optics had a grade 3 for sale with some nice pictures showing the wood, but soldnow.

Not a lot of information about them as I believe they were/are a limited run, but looks like they’re also sold in the Australia and New Zealand market as the “Hunter Deluxe”
