Funny you mention that as I was actually thinking to do that as a nice upgrade. I’ve followed his posting for a while but haven’t needed anything from him yet.Awesome! now get yourself some stainless bottom metal from PRCook to really tie the room together.

They’re sold as grade 3, the complete model from the box lists it as “Tikka Hunter Grade 3”. I’m not knowledgeable enough to grade walnut hahaha.Does Tikka sell them as Grade 3 wood, or you evaluated it as grade 3?
Thanks for that informtion! I'll have to look around for one. A 6.5x55 would be great! They’re sold as grade 3, the complete model from the box lists it as “Tikka Hunter Grade 3”. I’m not knowledgeable enough to grade walnut hahaha.
There is also a grade 2.5 available here, seems to be a bit more common or a bit more of them came in compared to the grade 3, I’m not sure but I see a few sites listing them for sale.
Precision Optics had a grade 3 for sale with some nice pictures showing the wood, but soldnow.

Not a lot of information about them as I believe they were/are a limited run, but looks like they’re also sold in the Australia and New Zealand market as the “Hunter Deluxe”
