Ok PalWell I think with me suggesting the BR it’s obvious buuuuuut of those 2, dasher.
Thank You !Went 6GT after a long search and endless speculation myself. Am loving it and like that it throws 110 and 115's at good speeds. Not a creedmoor but close enough with better barrel life.
I think that the 6GT is the sweet spot between the BR, Dasher and the 6XC, 6 Creedmoor. Alpha OCD brass seems to be of excellent quality but also have some Lapua brass on the way.
Read post # 63 many times to You get it !Well I think with me suggesting the BR it’s obvious buuuuuut of those 2, dasher.
WELL - I made up my mind and went with the 6 GT ! Shells - Berger 105 Hybrid Target over Varget and BR 4 primers in Alpha brass are all loaded for Sunday ! Are you planning on using it as a short to mid range F/O rifle, Jim?Next weekend is 500 metersRJ
I really not sure what ur sayin BudI figure the sooner I picked a calibre and rifle, the sooner I could start practicing and refining my own technique. But that's the point you have holes in paper and have to admit everything isn't going to be just utterly perfect with some yet-to-be-made equipment choices.
If you really want to see how good it shoots, let Tam have a go with it next time I bring her up to coach yaI Shot a 75/75 with 8 V Bulls today on first time shot 105 gr loads at 300 meters . I'm thinking i'm Gonna REAL Happy with the rifle and the 6 GT Cartridge !
Basically I think it's more up to the shooter to make a good shot than something you get from picking the magical just-right calibre from far too many we have to pick from that are so close to each other. I understand we have to concatenate all the conditions for success to get to the podium, but it bothers me to see folks spending so much time agonizing over this.I really not sure what ur sayin BudRJ
Personally speaking, think choosing a cartridge is very important and has a lot of psychological impact on a person and can make the difference in the long run.Basically I think it's more up to the shooter to make a good shot than something you get from picking the magical just-right calibre from far too many we have to pick from that are so close to each other.
