I think I’m going to do this, very carefully and very slowly, but the machining on the barrel is a little rough, going to polish the chamber as well, that feed ramp/lip area was hanging up and causing my feeding issue. Won’t take much to tune that up, it was just enough to jam it.

If you want to see pictures of blended and non blended barrel mouth let me know and I’ll take some pics.
It helped a lot with feeding from a box mag in that Grizzly, it’s the same as blending the feed ramp on a 1911 barrel.

Here’s pics of a factory 870 barrel and blended/polished barrel.
Mag fed vs lifter feeding will be different but I can’t see it hurting, have blended 2 barrels that I use on my mag fed Grizzly. This one is usually on a tube fed receiver, it feeds everything I load in it.

This one definitely needs some TLC similar to what you’ve done. Looking at that it’s not much wonder shells are hanging up here.

Yeah that could probably use some attention, before you start drop a shell in and take note of where the rim of the shell sits. Blend up to that point and then polish, I use Mothers polish and a felt buffing wheel on the dremel to do the final mirror finish.
