I get that you've got chapass over the whole thing, but I'm also willing to bet that is someone called your daughter "the 20y/o butt-sl*tt" when she did nothing worse than listen to a dog's heart, you'd be in a seriously bad mood over it.

Unless you actually did butt stuff with her. Then I can see where you're coming from.

Find a new vet.

Vets should be able to charge whatever they want. If they stay in business, success story. If they go out of business, who cares. That's the system we live in.

We had a dog die from a massive infection 4 days after a spay. This from a local vet that seemed to pick my pocket every time we were in. It's like they consider your money, their money. Got much worse after they sold out to a large corporation. No longer our vet but I'm sure just as horrible. They told a co-worker that a cat needed treatment for a kidney or liver issue that was going to cost around $10000 if I remember correctly. That after telling them the rescue cat they got should be neutered when they first took it for an exam and not realising it already was until they had it on the table. Still charged them significant $.
