Got an email yesterday from a certain "gun dealer" in McAdam, NB, the real website and not the fake one, telling me they received winchester 17WSM 20gr in stock.
They had 50 boxes when I looked from my treestand and ended up ordering a few boxes. I see this morning they still have 26 boxes in stock. Shipping is ridiculous but they have some, if someone is looking. Second email in the last week received about new stock. Last one was sold out within the hour from when I received the email and I could get away to look it up.
just a heads up.

thanks for the heads up, stuff is hard to find
Finally starting to trickle in............ I've been waiting for over a year for some.
I was on email lists for 12 different retailers across the country waiting for stock.
Got an email from Al Flaherty's a few weeks ago, sold out within the hour of me seeing the email.
The Gun Dealer, when I was able to order some but sold out within an hour or so of me posting above.
And noticed North Pro had some while cruising for a new toy, last night 😁
Just nice to see hard to find ammo starting to come into the country.
Was also waiting FOREVER for Remington accutip 20g 2 3/4" .......... Had 25 boxes delivered yesterday 🙌
Hopefully UPS stops in after 1630 on Monday with my 17 WSM so my wife is off the phone and done work to sign for it, fingers 🤞, she still works from home.

Cabelas has some online and at stores for the last week. 34.99/50. I only grabbed 500 cause i feel the price is a bit steep. Looks like Calgary and a couple other stores still have stock.

Pm me who else has it in stock
Looks like you might have missed out on this batch. It's on ammoseek at lots of different US places. We will start to get stock at some point. I have bought it at 2 local gun stores, Canadian tire and now Cabelas in the last year. North pro sports had some also but the shipping price was a deal breaker for me.

The Americans will hammer you. They don’t allow the export.
Well then, that's very odd indeed. Our American Law Enforcement Officers in our area are completely okay with it. In fact, they encourage it.

I know for a fact after being in law enforcement myself for well over 20 years, it depends on the department in your area, and if that department head is a Democrat or a Republican.

I'm sorry for you if you live in a WOKE area, we do not have that problem here.

Long live the Republic!.....:) Trump 2024!

You must have, "let's go Brandon!"................:):ROFLMAO:

There are border checks leaving the US to Canada and I know if they catch you trying to bring ammo back the American side will nail you.

Oh my, are you really that thick?

Yes I am aware of these check-points.

Just to educate you, the Americans do not have enough staff to man these check-points. They can barely keep the actual border itself open due to huge staffing shortages.

Secondly, when they do have them, and they check, we tell the truth. Not once has an officer even batted an eye out our way.

Now I have no doubt it may be different in the large urban cities and places like Ontario and Quebec. I'm just saying it's way more relaxed out here. Now if you are smuggling drugs, guns, and or Mexicans into Canada, they will look at you in a different light.

And I'm not telling you what to do. Keep that between you and your lawyer.

I'm just saying it's a little more relaxed out my way.

Now in saying this, have I had a smart @ssed-punk CBSA Officer on the Canadian side read me the riot act when I have declared ammo? Yes of course. I stay calm and ask, "you are aware I am allowed to legally import up to 5000 rounds of ammunition into Canada? Correct"?

They usually pause and say yes, but we don't like it. Then I ask if I am free to go, voila, we leave with no issues.

I would not recommend this to anyone, I was only trying to help people obtain 17 WSM ammunition.

But I and I'm sure others feel better knowing you are protecting everyone with your knowledge.

An alien admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa is prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing a firearm or ammunition unless the alien falls within one of the exceptions provided in 18 U.S.C. 922(y)(2), such as: a valid hunting license or permit, admitted for lawful hunting or sporting purposes, certain official representatives of a foreign government, or a foreign law enforcement officer of a friendly foreign government entering the United States on official law enforcement business.
[18 U.S.C. 922(g)(5)(B) and 922(y)(2); 27 CFR 478.11 and 478.32]

You can possess ammo you have brought in to the USA under 6NIA permission. You cannot export more than you entered the country with. In recent years they do regular compliance checks leaving the USA in the province I am in. So no, you can’t legally bring up to 5000 rounds back according to the USA and if they check you prior to seeing the CBSA you are liable to jail. Not worth it to me.
