Norinco CQ/M311-1

The 'factory' stuff was mehh at best, also has a funny' shaped stock. Mine has {complete} A2 furniture .. heck, if yours is naked, why not go for those nice wood sets ? ~ Are you in Utah?
Not sure if/ we 'allowed' to ship AR parts across the border? Got to be a ton to firearm shops around you, with A1/A2 sets.
I'd like to get the old Triangle A1 set..when I can bring 'er out to the range again.
I'll post a pic of mine when I get home.

P.S EDIT lol I seen your old posts now. Looks like you WANT those specific Norinco parts. I get it..I guess. ;)

Yup it is a passion project of mine. I call a bunch of gun shops in Canada every few years and they just tell me to use CGN now. Apparently CanadaAmmo was sitting on hundreds of sets before they closed. I was under the impression the 20" CQ was very common up there but I guess I was wrong.

Interestingly there is a company down here doing clone Norinco lowers. image.jpg

They weren't super common, the original ones with the bluish paint and Minden stamped in the lowers used to pop up every once in a while. Later on there were a bunch imported that were similar to the old CQ311's but they had a more normal looking A2 stock & pistol grip, still had the funny handguards though, I still have several of them, but no spare pistol grips/butstocks.

Kinda funny, most Canadians ive spoken to say the same thing. Seems like the handguards were the most common thing to get swapped out on the 20 inch guns. Out of all the stock parts the ribbed for your pleasure handguards seem to be the most common item to find. Figured itd be the revolver style grip out of all of it.

Great rifles, but the furniture... the stock wasn't terrible, but I tossed that weird curved grip and the ribbed handguard in the trash a day or two after I bought the rifle. So very, very ugly! To each their own, I guess...
