Yeah and the gst break ends mid February. CPI will be super low for the month of January. Anyone what to guess where inflation goes the rest of the year? There’s still Tik tok realtors out there saying this will cause interest rate cuts and re-start the 2021 bidding wars 😂
BoC will have to cut interest rates to try and spur on consumer spending.

Just went to a site sponsor to order some 12ga ammo.

Was $69.99/50 rounds this afternoon.

Now $79.99/50 rounds.

Raising the price of items in stock they bought before the tariffs take affect.
Pretty low integrity move by that retailer, site sponsor or not. Can’t say I would continue to do business with such an outfit.

Rampant. Was at the grocers on Jan 31st and against Feb 1st. Same items, hours apart….jumped in priced, despite being already bought and paid for pre-tariff. Retailers just pocketing the difference.

If that were true, do you think there will be people wandering around in Maga hats... If 85% of canadians hate him why would 15% be vocally supportive?

The vocal minority and countless amount of bots spewing the same 42 posts over and over on social media do not equal out to people saying that.

Do you have a poll to back these numbers up???????

What is maga to you? Is it a movement? political campaign? A group of people? a boogeyman you can be mad about? Or is it just your xenophobic dog whistle?
According to a study by the Angus Reid Institute, just 18% of Canadians say they have a positive opinion of Donald Trump. Canadians largely view the President-elect negatively (76%), and his net favourability in our country sits at -58%.

You’ve certainly already noticed that Trump supporters in Canada are among the loudest voices on social media platforms like X. This will likely continue long after our next election. Their goal is to intimidate you in order to ‘normalize’ support for Trump in Canada.

Thinking of making an order with FOC as i want to stockpile more ammunition for hunting and target practice. Should i? What is the realistic outcome with these tariffs. All the ammunition i want to buy is European made but will they jack up the prices of that stuff too "because they can"

Ah, yes. Polls. They always predict an outcome….except when they don’t.

Turn off the oil and let those equalization payments turn around and come back to Alberta and Sask. Ok, I know that isn't likely to happen.
Do that and Canada becomes Venezula. Were do you think the money for the transfer payments comes from? But thanks for thinking of us.

The usa will lose customers that will never come back - once people realize that CZ, Tikka, Sako,Sauer, Zastava are better price point guns than usa made stuff (with the possible exception of Ruger) even without the tariffs and that RWS, lapua, Norma, s and b and Aguila are as good and most cases better than USA made fodder and cheaper to boot ….

Laws of supply and demand. We all experienced it during covid. If there is a run on ammo (whether rational or not) and it becomes more scarce, prices will increase regardless of country or origin.

Depends how liquid you are.
10 boxes of centrefire can be easilt over $500 plus tax

I will continue to buy whatever I want and pay a bit more. No sense whining about it.

The tariffs will end once our leaders do the sensible thing and follow Trump's suggestions about our military spending and border security.

Come spring, the adults will be running things again and we can begin to rebuild.
