BoC will have to cut interest rates to try and spur on consumer spending.

Rampant. Was at the grocers on Jan 31st and against Feb 1st. Same items, hours apart….jumped in priced, despite being already bought and paid for pre-tariff. Retailers just pocketing the difference.

According to a study by the Angus Reid Institute, just 18% of Canadians say they have a positive opinion of Donald Trump. Canadians largely view the President-elect negatively (76%), and his net favourability in our country sits at -58%.

You’ve certainly already noticed that Trump supporters in Canada are among the loudest voices on social media platforms like X. This will likely continue long after our next election. Their goal is to intimidate you in order to ‘normalize’ support for Trump in Canada.
 
Thinking of making an order with FOC as i want to stockpile more ammunition for hunting and target practice. Should i? What is the realistic outcome with these tariffs. All the ammunition i want to buy is European made but will they jack up the prices of that stuff too "because they can"

The usa will lose customers that will never come back - once people realize that CZ, Tikka, Sako,Sauer, Zastava are better price point guns than usa made stuff (with the possible exception of Ruger) even without the tariffs and that RWS, lapua, Norma, s and b and Aguila are as good and most cases better than USA made fodder and cheaper to boot ….

Laws of supply and demand. We all experienced it during covid. If there is a run on ammo (whether rational or not) and it becomes more scarce, prices will increase regardless of country or origin.

Depends how liquid you are.
10 boxes of centrefire can be easilt over $500 plus tax
 
I will continue to buy whatever I want and pay a bit more. No sense whining about it.


The tariffs will end once our leaders do the sensible thing and follow Trump's suggestions about our military spending and border security.


Come spring, the adults will be running things again and we can begin to rebuild.
