Well, I'm too stupid to be bothered by recoil these days, but for punching holes in paper or a mild "deer out to 125 meters" it fits the bill. I guess I shouldn't have sold my Handi rifle...I love this load. I introduced this to a friend that wanted to get rid of his 1895 due to recoil. Now it is his go to hunting rifle.
