$1100 usd, who knows when they will ship north, not a bad idea but it's probably cheaper to find an OG model with a bead sight and get someone that does pistol cuts to machine a cut into the receiver. At this point I'd wait for the Professional LE models released at shot show, the low profile sights with an optic cut looks better than the normal 590 sights IMO.

Mossberg rep at Shotshow was claiming "you're good" out to 73 yds with low recoil slugs in the TFBTV video. He explains that the sights don't need to be adjustable so as long as the barrel is made right and the math used to calibrate the sights in the first place is good. There is that, they look good...the cerakotes a nice option too
Hope they shoot close enough to point of aim with something good (beyond practical HD range)

I'm not sure how trusting I am of such statements, but I would love to give one a go once they're available.
I've been looking at the shorty. Then put on a foldable stock and mini shell adapter. It has been a coons age since I got to handle and shoot a 14" Mossberg 590A1. Going to finally be picking one up after intenting to for quite some time, and wanted to ask owners their thoughts. 18.5" or the shorty? What did you like or not like about each?
Will be a full length stock and ghost ring model either way.
Would it still be over 26" with a folding stock?I've been looking at the shorty. Then put on a foldable stock and mini shell adapter.
Irungun's price should be close to US MSRP$1100 usd, who knows when they will ship north, not a bad idea but it's probably cheaper to find an OG model with a bead sight and get someone that does pistol cuts to machine a cut into the receiver.
Thanks for pointing out the new model though!

Maybe even less, but a guy can get a 14" 590a1 lightly used for half that price with a bit of luck.....Irungun's price should be close to US MSRP
I trust that statement, it follows suit with the one front sight I cut down and the other front and rear set I’ve soldered on.Mossberg rep at Shotshow was claiming "you're good" out to 73 yds with low recoil slugs in the TFBTV video. I can't compare to an 18.5"... or any other shotgun really - this is my first shotgun. However, this setup is a ton of fun and feels pretty comfy to shoot as a rookie. Came with both the adjustable Fab Defense stock and Birdshead grip.
ThanksXS sights,

I've shot slugs from my 14" out to 50m with no perceptible difference vs the 18.5, just need to figure out your point of aim. There's a member here (Brobee?) who has made several videos of him hunting birds on his property (or maybe crow control) with a Tac-14, really impressive stuff. No
Steelfint and KND, did you guys find the 14" any harder to shoot well at all? I remember it being more or less the same, but its been years atop of years at this point.
Unless its waterfowl at quite a distance hunting with it sounds like a good challenge haha
