Would you consider bringing in Norinco 97 bullpups? (Part Deux)

At a $800ish ticket price, would you buy a 97A bullpup?

So I stayed late last night to watch the snow storm and did some research...

...and what do you think?

He better be careful or he is going to put a hole through the fence....

Last I heard damaging public property could mean public execution. :kickInTheNuts:

BTW, I still don't understand how these guys come up with the idea of putting the safety way back at the stock.....so these guys run around with a hot weapon with no safety, or they gonna reach for the armpit when SHTF?

It is a 800 bucks rifle.

I believe that is the one that shoots 9mm out of a four row 50 shot mag.

Nope, only the 5.8mm version(Type 05) have the 4 row mag........ 9mm 4 row mag will be too clumsy, and the strength of the mag body will be compromised........

Also, the 9mm version, still is not being type-classified and commonly known as JS 9mm SMG, should look like this, the pic that you show us is Type 05 SMG which is in 5.8mm

I don't know if this Jian She 9mm will get adapted, because the CF05 9mm SMG, developed by Chang Feng, has already adapted by some elements of Chinese military branch, namely the Snow Wolf Commando Unit:

I took a look at one of these rifles in person and quite frankly on first impression it looked and felt like a piece of sh!t made in China rifle. The plastic feels like recycled diapers and the action cycles like it was manufactured with fisher-price tolerances... mag changes are a hoot too.

I wouldn't pay over 650-700 bucks for one and that's my honest opinion. Make what you want of it.

Valuable info... thx Matt. So I'll save my money for the Bushmaster ACR (Magpul Masada) ;)
However, I'm very attracted to the 9mm chinese bullpup version(s)... but only if they can be sold here at 800$ or less.

I wouldn't call that valuable info - too emotional to be useful.

A military gun is a military gun, not art work.

I gotta handle one few years back - the plastic feels soft because they want to prevent cracking at low temp. It is not the prettiest thing, but looks function. Sure it is sturdier than a 180B, with a forged aluminum receiver and a hammer forged barrel. I suspect it is like most commie rifles- they are not well finished in detail and the switches are put in the wrong spots, but they generally work. On the other hand, commerical US rifles tend to look good but some of them are just that - looking good only.

How many of those various ones are actually in production, and in service?
I am wondering if some of the posted photos are experimental types, or prototypes that have since been refined/changed.
