It's still just that, restricted. Just a shotgun after all. But they'll be getting to them though, if the Liberals stay in power.I have a restricted Bennelli M4 and I do t think that’s been banned yet, but who the hell knows anymore??

You are partially correct except for the part regarding ranges. Check the paper conditions that came with your license if you don't believe me and call the CFP for confirmation. I carry both versions of the conditions in my wallet and the Section 29 ranges bit is the exact same.Happy to be corrected, but I don't believe you have.
I want to estimate 2021, maybe 2022, (covid) rules changed whereby, restricted firearms required a separate ATT for any sanctioned range, gunsmith, or retailer (warranty purposes). The ATT only applies to your range.

Good question. I seem to recall that you're supposed to leave it in the vehicle a-la transport mode (locked in the trunk), or if not supposed to, allowed to?What would be the storage requirements if staying at an Hotel overnight and you go out for Dinner?
Locked in your vehicle (in a case) or locked in your room?
I think it would safer in the vehicle….personally, I never leave anything of value in a Hotel room
Or if in a truck, locked in a case and hid out of sight.Good question. I seem to recall that you're supposed to leave it in the vehicle a-la transport mode (locked in the trunk), or if not supposed to, allowed to?
I seem to recall a Runkle of the Bailey episode where he covers this topic off. If in the vehicle, you're transporting and yes the hotel room is considered your living accomodation/home legally speaking. However, as I recall Runkle pointing out, how practical is it to walk through a hotel lobby with an arm full of guns..."nothing to see here folks. Nighty, night, don't let the bed bugs bite!" They'd S.W.A.T you before you got to the room!?Or if in a truck, locked in a case and hid out of sight.
But these are the rules when travelling from home to the range.
I wouldn’t consider a hotel my home?
So, like conceal the restricted firearm? Verboden.Might be an idea for your gun case to be an ordinary-looking piece of lockable luggage, no shooting-related stickers or patches on anything you're hauling out at that point. Or keep the gun case inside a regular backpack or satchel. Or if it's a larger case for a long arm, throw on some rock-and-roll fandom stickers to imply it's an electric guitar.
Canada, where it is illegal to conceal a firearm and also illegal to allow a firearm in transport to be visible. So, like conceal the restricted firearm? Verboden.
You'd need an ATT. The automatic att/ license conditions only cover guns registered to you.Okay I think I have asked this before . I have my RPAL and have handguns registered to me and I’m a member if a range / gun club
My wife has her RPAL and has her own handguns registered to her and is a member of the same range / gun club
What if I want to take one of her handguns to the range and she does not come with me . What is needed ?
and also illegal to allow a firearm in transport to be visible.![]()

City by-Laws come into play as well.No it's not. Guns in a rack in the back window of your truck is perfectly legal.
Now, obviously how the public and police react to that is going to be different if you're in Vancouver vs Vanderhoof, but that doesn't change the legality of it.
I've never seen a city bylaw that regulates the transport of firearms. Not saying they don't exist, just I personally haven't seen one.City by-Laws come into play as well.
sorry , it’s pellet gunsI've never seen a city bylaw that regulates the transport of firearms. Not saying they don't exist, just I personally haven't seen one.
Do you have an example? I'd love to see what sort of wording might be used in such a document.

An electric guitar is going to get stolen too. lolMight be an idea for your gun case to be an ordinary-looking piece of lockable luggage, no shooting-related stickers or patches on anything you're hauling out at that point.
