Maybe I miss read what you wrote.
I have had those types of scopes in the past for sure, and understand why you would need a 20 MOA rail for the long shots, but have never had a problem just getting them to 100.
I was just confused by needing 2 to 3 revolutions of a turret to go from 25 yards to 100 yards. Even a 1/8 moa per click scope will usually do 10 MOA per full revolution, and 1/4 will do around 15 MOA per revolution.
My 22 lr zeroed at 25 yards should be on at 100 in less then10 MOA, less then a full revolution for my scope at 15 MOA.
