Tikka T3x reviews anyone?

One per minute isn’t bad. If you regularly hammered off 5 or 10 as fast as you could cycle the bolt, I’d maybe say slow down.

Others may disagree, but I’d say your barrel will die when it dies. Enjoy your rifle, and replace as needed. In 6.5CM I’d guess you should bet many 1000’s of rounds down the tube before that’s an issue.

I have to ask, do you drive to the range where you shoot your 6.5CM from the airstrip where your SR22 is hangared, in your Tesla, while sipping your pumpkin spice latte whilst listening to Nickelback?? Hahahah - just poking fun… I like all of those things, except the pumpkin spice- so dumb. It’s really funny how some things begin to get hated on.

I'm embarrassed to admit I also liked Nickelback. I also liked Teslas before they become popular, sold as the answer to climate change and are apparently now only driven by Nazi's. I don't have one though. They cost too much.

Lol.

Well all these good reviews sure make me glad that I made a good purchase because $1500 for an old retired guy is a lot of money.

Hell that's a months worth of CPP and OAS.

Now I have to save up for a good scope but I do have a spare Vortex Diamondback 4x16-42 that will do in the meanwhile.

I like Nickelback too, and never understood the "hate" for them... I admit that I still took part in the jokes though, which makes me a sellout.

You watch the Nickelback documentary? It's worth the time.

Target shooting. Currently at 100yrds. Non completive for now and for the foreseeable future. Mostly, I'm shooting just for learning and self gratification. Generally, I'll put a full box of 20 through it but not much else due to costs before I move back to my smaller gun (cz457). I clean all my guns after every outing but don't bother with a borescope, again, due to costs for now and also due to my tendencies to ocd. Lol.

How hot is to hot? Is 10 rounds back to back with only a minute between shots to much too fast? I don't really want to put my greasy fingers on the barrel to check temps but can resolve to waiting a minute or two between shots to let er cool down if it'll help barrel life.
Well, in competition I do, we fire 15 rounds and two sighters , a shot every 45 seconds maximum time for each shot
Barrels are pretty warm at the end of the relay

Another fan of Tikka here. I have a bunch. PROS: Come in lefty, they are all extremely accurate, good adjustable trigger and silky smooth action. CONS: Cheap synthetic stock, expensive magazines.

All sub MOA rifles. My T3X CTR 6.5CR and T3X Varmint 223 at 100M, 10 rounds each. I cant wait to try some hand loads.

I wanted one for a number of years, and I got one on the EE here a few years ago..
Walnut stocked 30/06.....If my son dosen't want her (which i doubt) I'll be buried with her....Fantastic rifles....

don't waste your money on a bore scope a rifle bbl is good for 2500-4000 rounds it will let you know when it is shot out
poor accuracy
i have a rem 788 222 rem when you look down the bbl from the action end you can see the throat erosion with the naked eye it still shoots bugs size groups all tho the 222 is very forgiving

Nice rifles and most of them shoot but I'd never give them more $$ beyond the wood stock or stainless barrel options for all the cosmetic variations they come in now. Especially with all the plastic involved. When a Tikka gets close to the $17 - $1800 mark there's just no reason to not step up to a Sako or several other manufacturers options. I much prefer the old Tikkas prior to the T3. Much better built rifles before the cost cutting started.
