Yeah, it's certainly not common in Canada at all but it is gaining popularity in the US due to it running well in AR15 style rifles at distance.Just looked at the 6mm arc… pretty impressive.
Barrels and bolts must be difficult to get though.
Yes. What else would you change?Just wondering if all someone would need to swap to 6.5 Grendel (from 5.56) would be a bolt, barrel and mags ?
Ya,I guess you’re right,it’s been a long time since I had one and wasn’t sure if I was missing something.Yes. What else would you change?
Maybe gas tube to match the gas system length.
or just another complete ARWouldn’t it be easier to just keep a second complete AR barrelled upper with BCG and mags for the conversion?
Must feel good to live in a free country.OP,
The 6.5Grendel & 50 Beowulf(12.7x42) use a Type II bolt that is .136" depth breech face compared to a standard that is .126".
The 7.62x39 AR chambers are cut for Type I .126" breech depth.
The 6 & 6.5 Grendel's are a sweet,accurate shooting top ends.
I run Superlative Arms adjustable gas blocks,Odin Heavy 7.2oz buffer w/ Sprinco recoil springs in my AR's, shot 90% of the time w/a suppressor.
