My father in law has the following cleaning kit from his dad
he thinks it came from an Enfield chambered in 30-06 (P17 sounded familiar)

when I search cleaning kits online they are in a different shaped tin

Is this familiar to anyone? or is likely a civilian kit?

Thank you in advance

The lid should have a factory code and possible year marked on it, something to further research. Most of the tools will be marked as well, often with mixed manufacturers. I quite like the metal oil bottles in these kits. They're very well thought out and not cheap to make compared to what most other countries were using in the 30's-40's.
