Uxbridge Arms is promoting a spring bear hunt for our friends at the Castle Club, an 800++ acre private hunt club located south of Bancroft. This bear hunt is limited to Ontario residents only with a valid hunting license by purchasing a 7-day membership in the club, you will be subject to the terms and conditions of the club hunting rules. The bear hunt membership is offered for two people (double occupancy) in a shared cabin for 7 days at a cost recovery club membership price of $1975 per person, $3950 total plus taxes.

The two new club hunt members will have exclusive access to all baited sites on the 800 acre++ club property for the entire 7-day hunt from Saturday to Friday. There are 6 weeks of hunting available in WMR60, you can book the hunt online (Castle Club membership included) at Uxbridgearms.com but the club reserves the right to refuse any hunters for any reason whatsoever. If your hunt is refused or cancelled by the club, you will be notified in writing and you will receive a full refund. Otherwise, once booked, there are no refunds on the bear hunt membership, so please make sure you have your hunting licenses and select the correct dates for your hunt.

The club provides off-grid accommodations on a well-traveled road for your arrival and the cabin is for club members only. No tourists, visitors, pets or guests are allowed on club property. The club provides dry food, firewood, baited sites and access to multiple hunt blinds as part of the bear hunt membership. The two new hunters will be supervised by a senior club member and you are only allowed to hunt at the assigned club blinds.

All new club members must have up to date hunting licenses, and a valid PAL for any firearms usage. All club members are required to strictly adhere to all requirements of MNR regulations and all other club rules.

All club members are responsible to purchase their own bear tags. A senior club member will provide bear hunt training and take you to the bait stations and blinds on our private club. The senior club member is there to assist with all aspects of the hunt, however, most of the hunt, you will be alone in the wilderness, or with your hunt partner if you choose to hunt together.

The senior club member will assist you in field dressing the animal and all other details of the hunt but the senior member will not sit with you through the hunt. There will be a lot of walking in the wilderness, proper shoes, flashlight and appropriate clothing required for the weather.

The goal of the Castle Club is to introduce new resident hunters in Ontario to the heritage of Canadian hunting. The club welcomes new and inexperienced hunters and senior club members will mentor you in a fun and safe hunt.

The Castle Club has partnered with our favorite hunting retail store called Uxbridge Arms to assist us in adding club members for our huge 800++ acre property. The membership fees charged by Uxbridge Arms are cost recovery for maintenance of the hunt club access roads, bait and upkeep of the hunting facilities.

Well, Bancroft isn’t anywhere near northern Ontario. That’s like comparing two different provinces lol you wanna drive 2000km to hunt bears ? Probably not.

For what it is, that’s a good price. I’m sure a lot of the folks from Toronto that are terrified to go into the real wilderness will appreciate an opportunity like this.

You should check what a hunt like this costs out here in BC. I know guys paying 10-15k for a bear hunt when I walk out my back door and shoot B&C bears lol

Ya i guess i take it for granted when i live smack in the middle of great hunting opportunities just walking out into my yard lol a buddy of mine brought his camper up from toronto last summer to spend an few weeks at my place and iam like dont be leaving that bloody wrapper from your steak in your campers garbage or you will have company through the night i made him burn his food scraps in my burn barrel. Same as moose they winter literally about a km behind my property on crown land. If i dont see a half dozen or so moose a week on my road i feel something is up

they are all over the place up here lol even partridge its like a fresh food market at my place
