460 Rowland Conversion

I’ve had a converted full size for a while, definite step up in performance. I was getting around 1300 fps with a 230gr I believe. No issues running regular 45 acp through it either, in the few mags I tried anyway. Mine was just a norinco donor that I swapped all the internals for Wilson combat stuff.

Tagged. I contemplated it with a Norinco Commander donor for a long while, in the end laziness won the day as I'm not set up to roll 460 Rowland, and I heard it beats the frame and slide a bit excessively. More so than with .45 acp anyhow, and the .45 puts almost as big a hole in a target as the 460, so...?
But if someone has a video of one being run on steel plates or the like, it'd be cool to see one.

Does it batter the chit out of the frame & slide rails?

NAA.
I haven’t noticed any issues with mine, but it’s not really a high volume shooter. I am also running a buffer, heavier springs and pretty much everything else that can be done to reduce slide velocity.

my dad and myself imported a kit years ago and we put it on a full sized norinco that we picked up just for that build.
we hit the sweet spot where they had just come out and you could order a kit directly from them and they would ship it to you.
they only did that for a very short window.

but the pistol is a tank.
very stout round to shoot, fun, lots of whooooomp when you hit the trigger.
