Recently Ive been wanting a 18'ish inch barrel 20 gauge coach gun and the new Heritage Arms Badlander has gotten rave reviews in the usa, they are available now in Canada so i went shopping.....what i learned was they are great guns but priced at $1299 plus tax and shipping for a good to better quality Turkish coach gun, was just more than i wanted to spend, so a little more research needed to happen. After a bit of digging around i discovered they are made by Buyuk Huglu in Turkey(different than the huglus that have been in Canada for 10 years) an above average designer and builder since the 60's and with this new company Buyuk Huglu since 1996. The Heritage is basically a Buyuk Huglu model BH230 and available in Canada now for $819-849 plus tax and in my case free shipping so i snapped one up.What arrived from Tenda a week later was a light, 18.5 inch dual trigger sxs coach gun with above average wood and beautiful metal and wood fitment, and a dedicated 20 gauge sized steel receiver and fixed cylinder chokes. I added the sling swivels and a larger front brass bead.It shoots very nice, fired some birdshot, and a few slugs, very fast handling nice little package plus you save a bundle without the Heritage name, identical gun with way nicer wood........
