Announced publicly on 2/24 ( yes, that was intentional!) the 224 will be available from Weatherby for the first time since 1981 (according to Wby)
We are direct with Weatherby and have 15 in .224 on order already. Looking at $3699.00 but tariffs could impact that, of course.

It wasn’t meant the price is high it was aimed at having to buy one! My bad for for poor composition! I’m a Weatherby fan.

My bad! So many people on here are giving our sponsoring businesses crap over pricing recently, figured this was another example. It certainly is a fine rifle! Cool to see them release this with a modern twist rate.

Couldn’t agree with you more!! If it seems high then move on or buy somewhere else. PR always has nice stuff and some of the wood they get is outstanding. Have never heard of one complaint but have heard many great things. Top notch all way around

What are the odds we will see these in a lower end, more budget friendly, model of Mark V or even Vanguard? I seriously debated ordering one but not sure I can justify a "Deluxe".....i'd be scared of scratching it up haha

Someone from weatherby mentioned online that they will release some 224 wby in different models in the future...what models or if vangaurds are included I have no idea.

IMO this is the most exciting thing weatherby has released in a very long time.The factory ammo with the little hammer bullets are interesting too.
 
Love the wood stocked Weatherby's. Great to see some wood coming back. I have a Mark V sporter and always had a deluxe on the one day list and I was starting to wonder if that was going to have to be a used one. What's not to like about one of these!

We have a few .224 coming soon. We could have had them before--- however, the Mark V is subject to the 25% tariff imposed by Carney, so, we have been holding off.....
