.410 flares

Is there such a thing as .410 flares , and if there is where in Canada to order them.
I've done some searching and can't find anything....

The only reference to .410 flares I've ever seen are the US military ones issued with the M6 Survival Rifle. These were , IIRC, aluminium cased.

You can find 12 ga flares, 25mm ones are sold somewhere, but never seen or heard of .410 ones.

So does that mean that you can fire a typical marine flare that I carry on my boat out of my 12 gauge shotgun in an emergency in the bush?

I would read the label on the flares as some say they can be used in open choked shotguns.

pretty easy to make red flare composition , have to think about this over a little , have lots of hulls so I may do a little research...
make a die , press the comp........bp for push and ignition.....
