Am I OK to purchase an antique revolver with no CFC papers saying it is antique? Namely a Webley .442.

Yes, you can certainly proceed with the purchase. The point of the CFC letter is to satisfy yourself and anyone else interested, that it is, indeed an antique. Whether that particular item is an antique or not depends upon two things: Was it made before 1898 and is the caliber NOT on the non-antique list. In your case, the caliber qualifies as antique so long as the gun was made before 1898.

Thanks, I thought it was ok, just wanted confirmation. According to the seller it is a Second Model RIC and is older than 1872 because of the John Adams patented hollow cylinder pin.

Is .455 webly considered an antique round?
Where can I find an antique webly on the net that ships to canada? I would absolutley LOVE to own one.
 
.455 Webley is not on the list of calibres which preclude antique status. If the revolver is pre-1898, and you can demonstrate this, you are good to go. Pete04 is looking at a Webley RIC. These were in production from the late 1860s until 1939. You have to be able to establish pre-1898 status.
Where can you find one? Keep your eyes open, and keep looking. These things turn up. Don't think only in terms of .455, though. There are other cartridges worth consideration.
 
On the subject of Webleys check for the trade mark of a winged hollow based mini ball. After becoming Webley and Scott the mark became a winged solid based bullet. Both have the initials of W&S (earlier was Webley and Sons)

Go back into the Blackpowder and Antiques forum and look for the threads at the top with the work "Sticky" in the title.
