I just joined GunNutz today. I'm hopefully leaving Canada forever and hopefully admin will let me sell some gear shortly.
Stay tuned. Unfortunately Mexico has strict firearms laws.

OP: ignore the members I refer to as the "bitter enders". They feel super-passionate about firearms and firearms rights and condescend to regular ppl who don't share their stridency. We don't know you, your experiences, your challenges, the things you've done to help mitigate this situation, how you've voted or donated etc.... I can't judge you.

I for one, can understand why you would want to leave Cda for sunnier climes. I am happy for you, if this is what you want.

Like a relationship going sour, I personally need time to be away from this country. "She's" going thru an identity crisis right now and needs to figure stuff out.

Personally, I'm practically retired right now but my wife still wants to work. My kids aren't fully grown yet (couple highschoolers, a middleschooler) but I'm itching to leave GTA. This place has changed beyond what I'm comfortable with. Actually, it's the people to be honest. Yes, of course it's the mass migration that has brought alien religions/cultures right to front door. However, the cowardly behavior and blatantly self-destructive attitudes of many (not all) of my neighbours is actually worse. I believe Gad Saad calls it "Suicidal Empathy".

I need to find a place where ppl are "normal" and who espouse the values to which I assimilated as a child of Chinese immigrants. I have my eye on Kentucky. It's got guns, bourbon, low taxes, laid back atmosphere and an appreciation of family, country and God.

All this to say, OP, good luck and let us know how you are doing overseas.

I would be really worried about cartels and you being a foreigner. Between crooked police and drug cartels I think you are going to be a target and nobody will be on your side. I'm guessing you are white.

After the election briefly thought about eventually moving to the States. Got a son who’s lived there for the past 10 years but lives in CA so really a non-starter. ☹️

IMHO, most places in USA would be better than most places in CAN. At least stateside you would have the chance to move to freer states eventually. Some really great choices are Florida, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina etc….

In CAN, if forced to stay, I would consider Saskatchewan and Alberta. Not knocking them, but a slightly warmer climb would be appreciated.

I don’t have a crystal ball so nothing is set in stone. If by some miracle, CAN manages to turn things around, I would reconsider my positions.

Guess you never walked through downtown Berkeley…
