Has anyone here tried a trijicon credo 3x9x40? I see they are made in Japan. Im curious about glass quality and reliability of these scope.

Thanks.

I was set on the credo 1-6 sfp before the fun police started throwing dyck missiles at everyone.

Brass facts says it is a total sleeper in the market. And there was another video by a guy who continuously dropped it as a test and it held up.

What not go for the 2-10 though?

I ended up just buying a few Trijicons (Huron, Accupoint and a Credo) for various rifles, all 3-9's. Some of the sponsors have some really good pricing lately on them.

They all look and feel great, I haven't had a chance to get them to the range, but looking outdoors with them the glass looks clean and bright to me. I bought them based on their durability reputation and I like the features/spec/price point.

The Credo is nice, the reticle is quite fine (precision hunter), illumination works great. Only thing I don't like is the integrated throw lever, might interfere with your bolt throw (on a bolt action), but I knew that going into it.

Which sponsors?

Which sponsors?
Tenda, CSC, and SFRC are all showing Trijicon scopes in stock (out of the vendors I frequent). I think Tenda has the best prices posted on at least some of the models.

Their 1" scopes are excellent for use cases where there is a size/weight budget (where a typical 3-9x40 would be perfect), I would pick them over any other 1" scope that isn't a Swarovski (and maybe even then, the Trijicons can deal with some absolute punishment).

A 3x9 is plenty for what I intend to use it for, mainly deer in the timber. Its going on a 300 savage.

Think the glass and internals on a Credo are the same as an aimpoint, pretty much?

(yeah I know, tritium/fiber optics vs electronic illumination, what I mean is the internal parts for dialing, glass/lens quality etc)

I used to have the Credo 2-10 on top of a Tikka 308. Great glass, lightweight, but I found the precision tree reticle too thin for my liking. Really wish I could have made it work for me.

I’ve got a brand new, never mounted 3-9x40 green mil square that I picked up this past summer. Bought a second one because I liked the first a lot but am not going to bother changing the second gun out if anyone is interested

I was hoping these would stay under the radar till I have time and cash to grab one. All the leupold issues people are reporting make me want to ditch them for credo or huron. Rokslide forum, thank you for the work!

Just from the pictures though, I think i might hate the credo reticle and the illumination would be the only saving grace of it.
SFP scope, not meant to be dialed, 3-9, and a fine mil reticle? No. Just put a duplex or #4 style reticle on that. Having to put a scope at the max magnification tightens the eyebox way too much for field use of the mil reticle imo, I like having 9x for when I sight in on a stable base but I never used it while hunting yet.

I just ordered a 2.5-15 credo mrad from londero. Should have it early next week. It's to replace a vx3hd that I think has a wandering zero. Seems like I have to adjust the scope 1moa or so every time im at the range.

Hah I had that one in my cart a couple times last week and then I saw it sold.

Luckily CSC got some in and I pulled the trigger on one! It will also be replacing a leupold vx freedom that is all over the place.
