I will start off by saying that they are both very durable and reliable shotguns. Almost to close to compare. But they both have their ups and down.
Winchester Pros: Light weight and easy to swing, very smooth action and superb cycling abilities, a bit of a hard thing to adress but if you have the defender model you do not have to mess around with magazine extensions everytime you wanna clean your barrel, the safety is located in front of the trigger, easy to clean and maintain, easy to operate, can handle almost any type of round, crisp trigger.
Winchester Cons: aluminum receiver, plastic trigger guard, hard to interchange barrels due to winchester having different versions with different lengths of magazine tubes.
Remington Pros: Steel receiver, easy to interchange barrels, metal trigger guard, smooth action, easy to clean and maintain, easy to operate, can handle almost any type of round, crisp trigger.
Remington Cons: Safety located behind the trigger, quite heavy for a shotgun, if you would like higher capacity of rounds you have to mess around with extentions, durable finish.
like i said they are both excellent shotguns, the 870 would probubly outlast the 1300 because of steel vs aluminum. But by saying outlasting im talking about tens of thousands of rounds. Personally i would prefer ther Winchester but thats just my opinion.
Whats yours?
Fight nice
