Hello,

While reassembling my Ruger Mark 3, I broke the sear pivot pin. I looked over the internet to source a part but I cannot seem to find any. Does anyone knows where I can get this part https://wirthweinguns.com/ruger-stainless-sear-pivot-pin-mark-series-1-2-3-p/r-mk-tgr-spn-ss.htm?

In addition, considering that I'm the one responsible for breaking in the first place, I'd like not to do this twice and would prefer to have this serviced by someone. Is it still possible to send a pistol somewhere for repairs?

Thank you for your insights.

If you can measure it precisely, I'm sure you can find a standard steel pin with a DIN number or close enough that it would be easy to fit with sanding/polishing.

If not, a hobby machinist could make you one.

I'd contact Gravel Agencies . They have treated me very well. They are Rugers warranty center in Canada.

If you have a receipt for your gun at least. When I had issues with a Ruger pistol I needed to send them a copy of my original receipt from ~18 years ago. But after that they were good. Got my pistol all fixed and shipped back to me in about 5 weeks or so at no charge

I didn't. I bought a MK3 2245 used off CGN. Shot it, then wanted to install the supplied rail and noticed that it was crooked. Ruger was great to deal with, it was Location Snap Shot that sucked. Ended up sending me a gun with a crooked front sight, and the rear sight didn't work.

I have used Gravel to warranty a H&R shotgun for a crooked barrel.

It looks like a pin could be made out of the shank of a common drill bit.

I probably still have the original receipt.

Common sense is so uncommon today, it's often mistaken as Genius..... :)

Outlaw if you post the length and diameter no doubt someone around here will have a spare bit to sacrifice to the cause if you don't already have a stash of damaged bits.... or tools.

I certainly have that in my garage.

Right on, a cutting wheel is easier then a hack saw but a good hack saw and file is all you really need once you find the right drill bit shank.
You could even mark the length and then chuck the drill bit in a cordless drill and use the drill to "spin cut" as you work the hack saw.... :)

File it down to final length, chamfer the ends a bit and your done.

Good luck!

Happy to report that it is a 1/8 drill bit. I'll the Canadian Tire tomorrow and get to work on trying to fix this thing.
