Mee Lawrd Cbawb, yer’ert’in me memory bank.
Iff’n it’s the same one me’n Mr H had one of each.
Me with the 308 and him with the 30:06.
Remarkably both bolts fit one nudder.
Same length action.

Hopefully my memory hasn’t faydid on this remark.

I don’t speak fluent fud but what I think yet saying is that I can look for a .308 or 30-06 both from your experience. Any maybe from a win 70 as well. Thanks!

I did some googling, and kamlooky is correct, until 1984, there was only a standard action lenght for the model 70, so yeah a 270 or 30.06 bolt should fit your action. just as you’d expect a 243 or 308 bolt too.

The Cooey 71 did evolve from the Model 70. But quite different in many ways. Tubular receiver with sandwiched recoil lug. Trigger mechanism in a box welded to the receiver. Magazine box also welded in place. The bolt sleeve is keot in proper orientation by notches in the rear circumference of the rim of the bolt which engage the sear nose. Deep cocking cam notch and a shallow one which is engaged when the bolt is open and cocked. No detent in the bolt sleeve like a M70. Any 71 bolt with the .473" face will work.
These were economy rifles. But they do shoot well.
Worth searching for a bolt, and paying a reasonable amount for a replacement.
Headspace will need to be checked.
I'd place a WTB ad here, and start phoning the usual suspects - WGP, and all long established gunsmithing businesses.

You don’t read awnglaze that well either.
Your wtb is in the wtb rifle forum, not the wtb parts place…….fyi….👀🤔🦴
