Garmin Coronagraph

I had a labradar that i always fought with to get it to read shots. It was very cool when it worked to find the speeds over the distances for my cast loads, but it missed a lot of shots and needed time to set it up, and a tripod. But the garmin, I went out just plinking the other day, tossed it down while I was prone for gophers, didnt take time to line it up very well, longer grass, and took a shot with the 22lr. It never missed a shot.

Tiny, compact, doesn't miss shots. I like it.

I bought mine two weeks ago when they were on sale. Plus I had $500 in canadian tire money so couldn't resist.
It absolutely rocks. I put it between my buddy and I while shooting and even though we were about 8' apart, it picked up all the shots without issue.
I used the tripod from my old chronograph for when I was shooting pistol. Great unit. Just hope it lasts now.

got mine last fall, a bunch of friends influenced me into getting one. Super easy setup, and easy to use. For my non reloading friends, they don't understand why i dropped 750 "for that." But for me, it's made reloading some rounds to match type very easy. It's given me accurate data from my Swiss Vetterli (1100 fps) to my .223 (3100 fps). , it's taken the guessing and fumbling away. And theres zero chance of me accidentally ventilating it, like some I've found at the range.

Pricey but awesome.
Couple of more affordable units out there by now? Maybe soon?
Athlon Rangecraft??
Ive heard of a couple knockoffs and its bound to happen but meantime ya, just get one.

Your getting pretty High Tech now a days Track and even shooting a NeedMore cartridge 👍🤣
I had full intention to purchase a 6.5 Creedmoor however, when shopping for it in Calgary I saw this Tikka on display, chambered in the 7mm Rem Mag. therefore, I purchased it.
I will buy a 6.5 in the future, within the next year, not unless I come across a nice 6.5 Swede or a 260 Rem. Here is the Tikka I purchased. Tikka T3X Lite Veil Alpine. I cannot say anthing negative about it..................a really nice rifle!

Canadian tire had this item ? I am looking into the local Canadian Tire store to acquire this for me. Will use CTC money as well.

Where did you go to use the Canadian tire money? I’ve checked Canadian Tire and Sport Chek but they don’t have them listed for sale under Garmin? Thanks in advance!

When the Garmin became available in Canada just over a year ago, I had a brand new, never been out of the house, Labradar that I bought to replace the optical chronograph I had been using. Based on what I read about the Garmin I bought one and tried it out in the spring of last year when my shooting season resumed. The Labradar still hasn't left home. I'm very impressed with the Garmin.

It is small in size and quick and effortless to set up. The set up is simply placing it near the required distance from the rifle/muzzle and point it down range. Press a few buttons and it's ready to go. I wouldn't hesitate to get another if it was somehow lost.

I understand Labradar now has a small doppler chrony to compete with the Garmin. The new Athlon Rangecraft is among the most recent similar devices.

Canadian tire on mcleod trail in Calgary had one in their display case. When I first got there I asked the kid behind the counter if they had one and he said no but I saw when I was looking at scopes. Every can tire gun section is ordered through the individual ownership so it can vary on what they carry.
