I was talking to Mike and they have some 2 and 3 lug single shot actions coming up soon. Given the chance to do it over again would you get the two or three lug?

For the ejector delete that they mention on their website it’s the same as yours they just don’t install the plunger.

No regrets with the 2 -lug.

For me I just couldn’t build a case to buy their three lug. When I bought mine there was a bigger price gap between the two, but they’re only $100 apart now. I haven’t scoured the internet looking for answers but my brain thinks there shouldn’t be a difference in accuracy between the two and that’s the ultimate goal. The only argument comes down to short and heavier bolt throw, or a longer softer bolt throw. It takes the same amount of work to compress the spring, so maybe a slight advantage in the two lug if you’re trying to not rock your setup around? Maybe…

The only people I’ve heard complain about two lugs are the older defiance actions where the bolt was close to the optic and that was mostly hunting guys who were wearing gloves or had cold hands.

I believe Rolf Martini has or is moved back to Germany to work for Hartmann and Weiss

I didn't see that one coming! :) But yes, it seems that it's true.

I wish I had managed to stop in and say hi before he left. He was always a joy to speak with. Somehow, I just thought he'd be at his place in Cranbrook forever.

The Canadian custom rifle scene has lost a legend. But I do hope he's happy with the change.
 
I like mine but be aware it has a slight amount of #### on close that I found disturbed my gun setup until i learned to steady the gun while closing the bolt
I think it’s a very well made Canadian option and in the repeater on a PRS gun it should excel as well.

I’m thinking 🤔 on a KS action . “ What is the slight amount of #### on close 🤷🏼‍♂️ mean ? . I run 2 Defiance actions in F Class right now so I’m knowledgeable on what a Nice action feels like 👍

as the word often used to describe a Rooster seems too shocking for us gun nutz. I’ll try to describe it another way
if you are familiar with a lee enfield rifle ?> it has a lot of Rooster on close or you have to push the bolt ahead against the resistance of the firing pin spring to close it. My KS action has much less but there is some
i find Ks action is very smooth and it is likely as or more rigid than a barnard S.
 
Their actions are iffy and very inconsistent in quality I have 3 of them and their customer service is absolutely revolting will never deal with them ever again!!

It’s been a lomg time since I’ve seen a lee enfield, but I remember them roostering on close, but the ks arms should rooster on open like most other modern bolt guns. Are you bumping your shoulder back far enough when you resize your brass? You might have a tight chamber or somethig.

it does it without a round in the chamber
