I happen to have European rifle CZ 600 in Win 308 and it happen to like European ammo such as PPU & S&B. My goal is to find the best hunting ammo for this rifle and was wondering for anyone used this ammo for hunting? If so is it any good and how does it compare to other brands?

The plan is to stock up a bit on general use ammo that would be used to hunt anything from medium to big game.

What will you be hunting? I've come across anecdotes that suggest the SPCE ammo doesn't penetrate as well as the plain soft points.
looking for general medium to big game ammo basically to stock up a bit and then I have some when I'm ready for hunting, both are soft point

Practice with cheap stuff, hunt with better ammo. In the big picture of things what you spend money on for a hunt, ammo is still the cheapest part of it.

Here you go https://www.sellier-bellot.cz/en/products/rifle-ammunition/rifle-ammunition-spce/detail/142/
It is very accurate in my rifles and generally available when other major brands are not.
It will do what it is intended to do.

I could have lost a bear because of this stuff. Explosive and minimal penetration. There were shards of copper and bits of lead throughout the meat. Not recommended.

S&B is excellent ammo for hunting. I've used it for years.
PPU ammo is for range.
Mason Leather Outdoors did a ton of ballistics gel testing with PPU on Youtube.
You can see the results there in real life.
The question will be - does your rifle like S&B.
One should always use the most accurate ammo when possible.
I also use Federal Fusion as well which again Mason Leather reviews in his caliber videos.
Superb ammo. The best cup and core imho after 40 yrs.

The winchester white box ammo is pretty good too, and their Power Point bullet is a decent bullet at 308 velocity

I don't know how old you are so let me translate: I'm over 60yo. To me, "decent" means highly recommended without reservation. The equivalent from a 25yr old would be "the best bullet ever!!!"

My 760 18.5 " barrel , loved Winchester Silver Tip 180 gr. Took a lot of moose over the years . Closest 28 yds , longest 327 yds measured by the MNR . What worked for me , maybe not for you .
