help with Winchester 1897

So at the moment I have 2 questions , is there anywhere In canada I can find parts for them reliably and if not is there anyone in the us who has a ton of parts other then numrich as everything i need is sold out , and if you know these shotguns someone please tell me what this little dimple piece is beside the ejector spring and it’s function , it goes to a little block inside the receiver and I can’t figure out if its something crucial to gun

What pieces do you need, I have some spare parts & I know a fellow that just bought a box of 97 parts from a retiring gunsmith.
I'm not up on who sells parts in Canada, one of the other members may have a source. The vendors at the top of the page may also supply parts, or your local gun shop.
The little dimple piece is just what it says, an ejector spring, it's purpose is to remove the fired case from the shotgun. The little block inside the receiver is actually part of the receiver, milling from manufacturing removed the non-essential material around that location. Yes, it is crucial. There is a lot of work performed to to both make that part, give it a place to reside, and make it simple to replace. As a military shotgun this simplicity is a boon in the field. Ejector Springs are different between the 12ga and 16ga.
