Also ensure that there are no unburned powder particles accumulated under the ejector. That can bin thngs up in a hurry. If lead is cast hard enough, there should be no binding problem. I shoot about 75% cast lead and around 25% jacketed and have no problems of this kind. Laser cast and Oregon Trail make some really hard bullets if you're looking for some and don't cast yourself - although everybody should at least be capable of casting...

It seems to me that I had a similar problem and it turned out to be nothing more than a loose part. Tightened it. Problem solved. So before you get all upset and pull things apart; make sure everything is screwed together properly and tightened down at least finger tight. That may resolve your problem. In fact, I am sure that this was my problem.... as simple as it sounds. Let me know how you make out.
