PRC shooters are like vegans.

Here's another thought ....

Are all those old guys that drive around by themselves in a top down convertible, PRC shooters or vegans? Most are wearing a Tilley. Is that a clue?

Oh I hear a lot of Fudd lore/BS. No worries there!

What I've never encountered yet is the "totally wrong 6.5 Creedmoor overhyper" or "PRC guy who thinks 6.5x55 is not good past 100 yards" round nosed or what.

The 6.5 shooters I've talked to, or even those who expressed interest in it, have known what the 6.5x55 is.

Fudd lore and BS, eh? Like I said, sheltered life. Having not experienced a 6.5 Creed overhyper by 2025 kinda confirms my suspicion of this. Here I thought everyone knew that’s a thing, seeing as there’s tons of memes about that one specific round?

The covid years created a whole breed of inexperienced know it alls, many who started when the long range shooting fad was big, who think it’s pointless shooting anything but the latest and greatest.

Manbunner shoots a PRC, drives an EV, university educated but works at Starbucks, cooks smash burgers on a Blackstone, owns a rescue dog and brags about that as well.
Don’t forget the overpriced fake strappy leather sandals and the man-purse side bag that completes tbe ensemble….

It's weird that some people on a website named "gunnutz" get offended when people start discussing cartridges.
I have no problem t al discussing cartridges or rifles with anybdy- unless they are talking about stuff they have read on the 'net or someone told them about it, without actually shooting said items and telling me I am wrong when I have in fact shot them! LOL
I got told a few years back by an " expert" that the .223 is no good at 1,000 meters and you need a .338 Lapua.
That guy had never shot at 1,000 and shot a 308.:cautious:

Oh the ratio of meme dissing creedmoor owners to overhype seems about 1000 to 1 even online. I bet theres about as many posts #####ing about it or saying how something else is better anyway or mentioning 6.5x55 than there are posts overhyping it too. 6.5CM seems to just really rustle jimmies like none other.

And it ain't like forums are free of ignorance

And yep! Fuddy lore. See "what cartridge to shoot through brush" or "bullets go too fast to expand" etc. None of that has anything to do with covid.

The 6.5x55 guys and 6.5cm guys have way more in common then the 6.5x55 guys would ever willingly admit... lol

6.5cm is old news though. Even 6.5prc is getting pretty old. What'll be next? 7prc and 7bc are newer but don't seem to have the fanfare that the 6.5s did...

It’s fine for you to believe whatever you like simply because you’ve apparently never experienced such people. It’s just hilarious how you’re telling people who’ve seen it first hand that it doesn’t happen.

And you might wanna let up on the whataboutisms and deflecting. I think we all know what that usually means….

Anything else that has happened multiple times in my life that you want to tell me didn’t really happen? (y) :ROFLMAO:

What made the 6.5 Creed so popular in the first place? Everyone knows it was popular, but nobody I’ve talked to really knows a legit reason why.

Marketing and hype? Or can it actually shoot the eye of an elk at 1000 yards every time?

Marketing and hype?
Yup - Hornady is clearly good at that. The PRC is from Hornady as well.

There are other factors too - the explosion of interest in PRS style shooting being one, the niche of high bc bullets from a small case as another (yes, high bc bullets are not new, but shooting reasonably affordable factory ammo with a high BC bullet was a pretty niche idea in the early 2010s).

Cool it happened to you that much. Not saying it didn't.

What I hear is "my experience is valid and yours isn't" cause you're calling it whataboutism and deflection lol.

BTW, still 1000:1 ratio online of anti Creedmoor memes to Creedmoor overhype. Nearly every thread that involves it, people get triggered when its mentioned, absent any overhype.

You know, just like this one ;)
