yes, they are available. I saw the display model at the Toronto Sportsmans show. I'd say that, on first glimpse, it's no different than my ORIGINAL Mdl 70. I'd really have to take it out and test it to be 100% sure.

I am curious about the new trigger ? got a hunch its more to please the lawyers than the hunters! Plus the fit and finsh was quite poor on the very last production, hope it's improved!

They are going to have a featherweight deluxe, super-grade, super-grade ltd, sporter deluxe, extreme weather ss (stainless/synthetic with fluted barrel)

Hey UItradrag ...... I gave up smoking anything over 20yrs ago. Good thing, cuz I can now prolly afford one of those new Wins instead of spending it at the rasta.

Once the announcement discontinuing the "old" M70s was made, there was a run on remaining dealer's stock. Almost immediately they appeared on the second hand market at a 50% premium over retail.

What do you suppose will happen to that market? Will there be enough difference between "old" and "new" M70s to justify the premium? How do retail prices on the "new" M70s compare to the retail prices on the "old versions?

Infants, I was hunting deer in 1970.

Wish I could afford a Model 70 in 325 WSM to play with.
