840 cooey is 3” and can be had on the cheap but they don’t fold down into a back packet snd I think a BP folder is what the OP is looking for. There is so many choices out there in 410. Many of use have a Cooey but the 84 only takes short shells but there is many new ones all in 3 inch.
I have one of these too but it’s in 410 and 22 hornetI have one of the tps m6 scouts in 410/410 and like it a lot for bunny hunting.Gun breaks down in seconds by using a captive pinView attachment 981456
Also ammo can be stored in a compartment in the butt stock
I'm a bow hunter, having it in my pack and quick to get into action is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though. 3 PC brake down is also a good option.I think something with an easily removable forend that comes apart into 3 pieces is much more packable than a folding gun. Yes, folding gun is quicker to get into action, but if that's a real concern why put it in the bag in the first place? At that point you should be carrying it in hand.
Id be checking intersurplus and the EE.
Okay well nothing is quick to get into action from your pack.I'm a bow hunter, having it in my pack and quick to get into action is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though. 3 PC brake down is also a good option.
There's something to be said about just having the gun ride along in a scabbard attached to you favorite pack.I'm a bow hunter, having it in my pack and quick to get into action is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though. 3 PC brake down is also a good option.

That is right pretty, 12 guage is a better idea as well. Was looking at a mares leg, but this may be a better idea. ThanksWell for quick deployment out of a backpack .... nothing beats the Shockwave 410.
Rides in a scabbard and is pulled out easily and quickly .... But it is not a fold down .... It is short enough to fit into a backpack/scabbard.
Together with an Eberlestock backpack that has an integrated scabbard ..... that combo is slick. You don't even have to take off your backpack. Reach over your head ... pull out the gun ... load and shoot .... or rack and shoot if your are carrying it loaded (chamber empty).
But I would go with the 12ga version Tac-14 .....
