I recently purchased my Savage precision 110 elite, and took it to the range for zeroing. The bolt is very rough and requires big push and giggles. Checked online and it seems thar PTG makes the bolt for elite that doesn't have this problem. I'm new to this forum and appreciate any help. Thanks

Your Welcome. If you were buying a rifle wouldn’t you cycle the bolt to see what the action is like before laying out cash.
Ever think maybe it is rough chambering? Kind of something you cannot do at a gun store.

Majority of us purchase online, so we don't get to test action, or if you like me. Barely have any gunstores. So it is based on online reviews and trial and error. Why I owned over 250 firearms.

You know some guns have MATCH chambers that makes it harder to chamber non match ammo. I have some 22LR that my basic Anschutz 64 needs a little harder push to chamber.

OP what ammo where you shooting?

Thanks. Yes, that's exactly what I went through. Many fantastic reviews on 110 elite, I even tried a 308 version in a store and it was smooth. However, they didn't have the 6.5 Creedmoor but they said it'll be the same. Turned out not to be the case when I ordered online.
