Limited to 1 action (short and long versions) what would you choose??

I’m going to be the odd one out here, but I would take the Weatherby Mark V 6 lug action.

I have had them in 270, 280 ai, 308 and 338-06, and they have all shot fantastically. Quick, accurate and pack very well.

My ideal combo of battery on these actions would be:
25-06, 280 ai and 338-06. Not much you couldn’t do with that combo.

I have a WBee MK5 6 lug in 240 Wbee and I love it ! I installed a Trigger Tech trigger and a Peak 44 Carbon Fibre stock .

Husqvarna 1640. Oldskool Mauser ka-chonk, ka-chonk but built with modern Swedish steel. Alternatively, the Husqvarna 1900. Glass-smooth bolt and amazing quality. Regardless of the rifle, IKd choose either 6.5 Swede or 30-06.

Hard to beat a 1640!! I think mine would be either a 1640 or my cz550!

As others have said, Tikka T3 or T3X.

Can easily switch between long/short action in 2 mins with the change of a bolt stop, can get different bolt bodies to go from 223 to 300 win mag, and can easily get pre-fit barrels, and other aftermarket parts are becoming more and more popular these days. Their reliable and their smooth as butter, its a no brainer for me.
