Good day everyone!

As the titles states, my RPAL was due for renewal on July 25th, I applied to renew on June 20th while still living in Ontario. I have since moved to Quebec and my renewal file has been transferred to the QCFO, I got an email stating I need to provide proof of club membership, but my license is technically expired now? What the hell do I do now?

Yup. Reach out to the local gun clubs and tell them your situation. They'll probably let you join but not a ble to shoot untill you have your new licence. It probably won't be a big issue. Communication is key

I've reached out to a few clubs and they said they can't accept me cause technically my firearms license is expired?
That could be an internal club policy to prevent the unlicensed from attending the ranges, to reduce liability or adhere to insurance or other policies. That being said gun clubs allow unlicensed guests under the supervision of a member to shoot.

Do you have an Ontario Gun Club membership that is still valid?

Hey there, unfortunately I don't, where I was posted there was loooong wait times for a membership and I managed to snag a handgun just before the ban, so never actually got out to a range.

Eastern Ontario Shooting Centre east of Ottawa has lots of military members and a big membership list. Don't just send off an anonymous application, send the president or membership secretary the same information you presented above. It is not fair that your paperwork should be hung up on a technicality. Alternatively, go right to the top of the Quebec CFO chain of command. Yeah, they're all SQ cops and paid to follow the rules, but you're not necessarily in their jurisdiction by choice. That is where the army sent you.

Or you could change to collector status if you don't shoot. In Ontario, I didn't need to do anything to get collector status, except write "collector" in the notes whenever I was buying a gun. But in some other provinces, you may need to explain the historical characteristics of your guns.
