Just wondering what other 1301 owners are running through them. I believe I’m limited to slugs at my range.

Do you shoot mostly 2 3/4” shells or 3” ?

Any particular brand ? What would you consider the cleanest firing shells ?

I've run Score, Challenger, S&B, and Federal in all the flavours through mine (low and high velocity, 2.5", 2.75", 3"). Yet to see a stoppage even with low recoil in the first 100 rounds. Score and Challenger aren't clean but they are cheap and the Blink system keeps it clean for a while. It's a beaut of a shotgun.

I would avoid winchester and rio... challenger, federal => good stuff

I could be wrong... getting more into shotfuns

Winchester "AA" Low Velocity (980 fps), Low Recoil does not function the action completely. No problems with anything else I tried.
I've shot hundreds of Challenger low recoil, 1 oz slugs through my Beretta without issue. As matter of fact, it's what is available at my range off the shelf. I've never shot some through a chrony, but I would imagine that if they aren't 980 fps, they'd be very comparable?

Winchester AA Low Velocity is the hands down favorite of Cowboy Action shooters who use it in double barrels and pump actions. I do not think there is any lower 2 3/4 inch 12 gauge made.

Like others have mentioned, it'll shoot almost anything just fine. But beware of the cheap slugs, I found they'll leave you cleaning a lot of lead buildup out of the barrel.

I’ve got a whole bunch of Rio slugs and they are horrible for leading
They are the Royal Star slugs, 1-1/8 oz velocity 1410 fps
I’m wondering if it’s the velocity that makes them lead really bad
Barrels are a right pain to clean afterwards

I have a bunch of Rio buckshot. Hope it's cleaner, but that's likely an unreasonable expectation.
