They hope the viewer doesn't understand that the finns sided with the nazis for the majority of the war lol
The Finns never invaded and brought war to other lands like the Germans - they were simply invaded by Russians, fought back against the odds, and won.

The prize for being allied with the Germans as a result of fighting Russians was more destruction as the nazis retreated out of Russia and razed the Finnish land on their way. Some friendly help that was.

Painting Finland with the same brush and the Germans is a mistake. As long as Russia was helping fight the Germans the Allies turned a blind eye to the attempted invasion of Finland by Stalin. Part of the reason for decades of neutrality afterwards was not trusting anyone and having to defend yourself.

Please do your research before spouting off such tripe. Finland took territory well beyond their 1939 borders as part of the 1941 invasion of the USSR with aims to annex East Karelia. They supported the siege of Leningrad and other operations. It’s called the Continuation War, which they lost. The conclusion of a separate peace with the Soviets and extreme pressure by them for the Finns to assert their sovereignty and expel any remaining Germans brought them into conflict with their former ally. History is not black and white. Finland was not the eternal victim.

Lapland war 1944-1945. Finns and Germans were closest allies up until 1944, when Russians defeated Finland in Continuation War and put an ultimatum forward: either you fight back your German masters or seize existing as a sovereign state. Finns got it right once

It’s prob a good thing they didn’t do the operation unthinkable
I don’t think it would have went too well for the UK, USA as the red army was at their peak at that time
