Thoughts
 
The .44 mag goes for 1799. I could go that high. Much less then the rammington custom orders at $3000 or what they where before the Ruger takeover.

It would be a sweet gun
 
A few years back you could still get a mod 39 through the Marlin custom shop.... they were not stainelss and were quite expensive.
 
Even if they were $1500, unless you were lucky you wouldn't get one for years. The arsehole scalpers would buy them all up and you'd see their ads asking $3250,,,,,,,,
 
if the 39a was made in ss
it would likely retail in the range of 2799.00 in canada
or more tariffs and $ exchange and 30% from the wholesaler to the retailer 30% from the retailer to the consumer and then taxes
it's a wonder anything is affordable in this country
