Best Holster for Nickel Plated pistols

I've been acquiring a few cool derringers as of late.
'BBQ / Family event in the country' season is still on.
Might want to show one off.
What is the best material to NOT degrade Nickel Plating on pistols?

Never heard of leather degrading nickel. Post some pictures of your derringers

If it’s rub you’re worried about, I know a few tricks to softening leather.

I've a Colt No. 1 coming in the mail. When it gets in...I'll post a few Pictures.
I'm an F & W man ( Common man's Gat) ...the Colt will be my 1st higher end one.
Love SW Sask family events...doing some shooting!

Rub you fingers inside, if it feels rough, like some unlined newer holsters, they will wear the finish over time.
I have seen holsters with soft lining . A minty nickle colt, I would not put in a holster,
the uncle Mike nylon would be fine, but they are not " period " correct for a SAA, I liked them for SA pistols.

IS that a first gun a swamp angel?

Bought this F&W .38 rf little while back.
Tried shooting it once, but I was having trouble with the H&C reloads in it.

Got 2 Swamp Angels as yet. Might sell one to a young woman friend of my daughters. That DA F & W got traded too.
