Remington 870 stripped police receivers

Hi John,

That’s super unfortunate to have happen. We all hate to loose any options we have for outfitters and stores to choose from, and yours moved a good number of firearms, certainly more than ours! I appreciate your reply.

I completely agree on the climate raising tensions, it’s beyond ridiculous but the tension should not be between firearm enthusiasts.

I’ve lost thousands, and more importantly the ability to transfer any of my prized possessions to my boys. It’s sickening really! So I can totally relate how sour a guy can feel.

I do commend the drive you have for 100% customer satisfaction. That’s hard to do! You obviously offer a lot to the community through your contributions in the industry.

I hope your having a great retirement and you can guide some lead when you want.

Cheers,
Thank you Repper,

Take care my friend!.....:)

Maybe thats part of the problem Simon, im still waiting for paper work for some plates I got off you at least 7-8 years ago, multiple emails to you and no reply. I would have preferred you just told me to go #### myself instead of ghosting me.
Ill leave it at that, I assume you got on top of your health issues.

Man... that crazy.
PleaE give me a call and I'll try and remember what it was.

Yes I have 80% of my guts cut out coated a few times and spent 18 months in recovery.
And as good as I'll be able at this point.

I bought one of these receivers, and completed assembling it with clone parts.
- With ATI clone parts everything fit and assembled except for the magazine end cap, the treads don't seem to fit and I didn't want to force it.
- With Blueline clone parts everything fit and assembled except for the barrel (made to work with longer mag tube).

I have not had time to take it out and test it with live ammo yet though I'm leaning towards using it to upgrade my old 870 sportsman which badly needs the receiver to be refinished and is not drilled and taped for a scope rail so that is a nice little benefit to using it.

Given that these clones can be had for sub $300 it is not a bad way to build up an 870 for fun.

How is it better than the clone reliever though?

People for whatever reason pay a premium if it says POLICE or MILITARY USE ONLY on it.

The kind of people that spend $300 on a designer wallet in a boutique instead of $35 at Walmart.

I've never seen a bad reciever before.

The target doesnt care if its a $350 Blue Line or $3500 Tac Ord or Dlask.

HeadDamage may have different reasons to swapping over the parts to the police 870 receiver but here's maybe some small advantages to switching over depending on which clone you own.

Blue Line Pump
-Blue line receiver isn't drilled and tapped for an optics rail where the police one is.
-Blue line has a longer mag tube so you can't use standard Remington barrels unless you buy or make an adapter.
-Blue line receiver stud is slightly different so you're unable to use SJ's MCS stock system unless a new stud is made specifically for these Chinese clones

AMERICAN TACTICAL MB3R
-ATI clone receiver is drilled and tapped for an optics rail but doesn't use the same three hole pattern as the current Remingtons (Not that it's really an issue but could be just your preference)
-ATI mag tube is the standard four shell length like a regular 870 so using Remington barrels is an option. But similar to the express and fieldmaster 870 models the mag tube has two small dimples near the end of it which prevents you from easily adding a mag extension. In order to have the ability to add an extension they can be either carefully ground down from the inside with a dremel or smoothed out using a magazine tube detent swage tool. Where the 870 police has no dimples to contend with so you're good to go as is.
-And like the Blue line the ATI receiver stud is slightly different so you're unable to use SJ's MCS stock system unless a new stud is made specifically for these Chinese clones

Are you going to be listing any more of these for sale? I’d love to pick up another to utilize all of my MCS parts. Is it possible to have you guys cut down the mag tube length to MCs length as well?
