Hey C . , any requests ? We've got an abundance of Lyman & Stevens. If any of you guys on this forum know where a vintage peep sight for a 1957 savage 99 would be please let me know.
I would be looking for a lyman or redfield manufacturer peep sight. That is for the savage 99 with the lever safety since mine has that safety.Hey C . , any requests ? We've got an abundance of Lyman & Stevens.
Any from Europe or Asia ?

Beauty!. Where the hell did you find it!. It looks unfired to me!. What caliber is it in?.Here's a few photos of one I've had for quite a spell it's a pre-war Winchester Model 70 with a Lyman peep site. The photos are not that good and should do them over without the Superposed Gun case it confuses things. What I like about the Lyman site is the stock remains untouched without having to notch it out for the site. The site doesn't come into contact with the stock at all.
It's been fired but very little. I shot it a few times when I first acquired it in the 1990's. The barrel script reads 30 gov't 06. It's in excellent condition.Beauty!. Where the hell did you find it!. It looks unfired to me!. What caliber is it in?.
Lol looks like you got some great pieces!. There is something about a classic peep that adds astetic to a vintage rifle!.Love the rear peep sights on the big bores

Though I’ll admit Iv only pulled the trigger twice on this .458wm about 25 years ago. That rear sight hates a left handed gripper.

You do have a few options for the 99.If any of you guys on this forum know where a vintage peep sight for a 1957 savage 99 would be please let me know.
I found a mint lyman 57 SA on ebay recently and purchased it.You do have a few options for the 99.
Top is a Redfield,
Lyman 57 s a ,
Lyman 57 s b - it works but ( not recommended as stock needs a cutout- not by me but not # matched rifle anyway).
Williams FP99 and,
Marbles Tang.
They are discontinued and not cheap! Somewhere around what I paid for some of my first 99’s. I don’t remember if I’ve bought any sights separately but think most of the dozen or so I have came with a gun mounted underneath.

Im not quite sure but I dont see why they shouldn't. They look cool and work quite well.So many of these are vintage classics from a time before people started throwing scopes and red dots on top of everything. Does anyone keep the art alive making modern peep/aperture centrefire rifles?
This is perfection to me.Here's a few photos of one I've had for quite a spell it's a pre-war Winchester Model 70 with a Lyman peep site.
