Dlask closed?

He is NOT selling off the entire inventory.
He is still planning on making some short 870's in his retirement.
Its a hard bargain though, 1300 or more for a 650$ shotgun with a 300$ barrel, and you don't get to keep the factory barrel either, which DLASK conveniently lists for sale for another 250$

If you buy just the barrel and mount it yourself, its half the price

Your missing/leaving out shortening and re-threading the mag tube and fore end

Their barrels have lugs at the 4 round tube, no shortening of the mag tube is required. they fit on any off the shelf 870s except for the tactical (that has the 6 round tube)

And I'm talking about the "870 tactical" the one that has it engraved in the side from remington, not the shotguns DLASK sells with tactical added to their label.
The only time machining is required is when they install a barrel under 12", having the added costs to those makes sense, but it still doesn't justify their 1500 price tag on the 12/14" barrel 870 express that does not need any modifications except an able bodied person physically removing one barrel and installing the other.

Dose t matter if you see value or not. If your a poor don’t buy one. He dose t have any trouble selling barrels or shoty’s.

Maybe ask Simon for some input

Doesn't matter if you see value or not. If your a dumb with you money go buy one. He doesn't have any trouble selling barrels or shoty's.
There, fixed it for you.

It’s not about affordability, it’s about choosing to spend 20 minutes of effort to avoid paying twice as much. That small decision reflects on the reason why the rich stay rich, while others stay stagnant through carelessness. Its not about money, but about mindset.
Implying one is poor because they question an artificially inflated cost implies you make assumptions about someone’s finances without the slightest context, and is pretty presumptuous and ignorant. And frankly, it says far more about your depth of thought than it does about the person you're attempting to judge.

I'm still trying to figure his 870 barrels out. I have one, and it seems to be that the chamber is actually some sort of press fit sleeve that is inserted into the barrel. Certainly a two piece barrel in any event.

Does anyone know how he builds his short shotgun barrels?
