Anybody have any experience with the American Tactical Remington 870 clone?

How are they compared to a Blue Line pump or current production 870s?

And where are they made? Another Chinese clone or are we finally seeing a Turkish 870 clone?

I have to say .... it looks Turkish .... :ROFLMAO:

I see S&J has them in stock .... FOC as well ....

Got one from SJ, no complaint about it so far.
hard to have one when it sits in the safe, like most of my shotguns, but part compatibility looks much better than lot of other clones.
furniture does leave something to be desired, but i got it to replace receiver of my beat up 870, so no complaint there. Good bang for your buck i imagine

I've got one and a Blueline and an 870.

Some observations:
- Remington 14" police barrel fits but is very tight and the first time I fitted it the action it could be cycled without firing or using the bold release. Seems ok after the first fitting
- Feels lighter than my Remington or my Blueline clone
- Stock feels cheaper than either my Remington or Blueline, also the butt is about an inch longer than the Blueline
- The Blue line looks to be better built and has less plastic (metal trigger guard with more finger room) than the ATI
- The Blue line has better looking metal work though it is not as smooth to action/pump as the ATI out of the box

Lastly, in some ways both the ATI and the Blueline have better fit and finish than a Remington Police 870 that I recently purchased. The Remington is an absolute #### to get the action bars and bolt back together due to burrs and poorly finished metal edges. Both the Blueline and ATI strip down and reassemble much nicer than the real Remington.

Are these blued or parkerized? I have a h&r pardner pump and used to have a few norinco 870 clones and they were all parkerized black (manganese phosphate?). The biggest downfall of the 870 express is the “matt blued” finish. It rusts like a Buick

HeadDamage, thanks for the report and for chiming in.

And your observation with respect to the latest 870s mirrors my experience. I bought another 870 Police last December and that one as well .... reassembling the action bars and bolt and getting those back into the receiver is not as easy as all my other 870s from years back.

And the Blue Line pump that I have really impressed me with respect to fit an finish .... better than many of my 870s. And it worked flawlessly out of the box .... and which I can't say for a couple of my 870 Police shotguns.

One brand new 870 Police had a sticky chamber and that needed polishing. Another brand new 870 Police would not release the action after firing .... the action bars needed polishing. And my first 870 Police that I bough 10 years ago brand new .... the barrel was never polished ... it was a lead trap. I had to polish it myself .....

Need them with 8.5, 12 or 14 inch barrels

I'll buy half a dozen just for the barrel

18.5 barrel....not interested
They come up from the USA, they can't import chines guns with short bbls.
Unless a Canadian company buys direct from China you done see Chinese short 870s again.
The companies that import the cheap guns can get it cheaper guns from Terkey then China
Why Bring in an 870 clone for 170$ when they can get a cheap pump from the Turkish for 90$ and sell it for $300.
When u are in the cheap end of the market. ,it's whoever has it cheaper

Non of the H&R or norincos were parkerised, they were bead blasted, then black oxide fished.
