Mailman was good to me yesterday. 1000003307.jpgConnecticut Arms 44 rimfire.
After a nap, which proceeds such events...I cleared the desk in the bunkhouse.
Did some head scratching, brewed up some 44 Rimfire cartridges.
Was popping .22 Acorn blanks in about 6 hours
I'll do a photo montage on it this morning if you folks want one.

How was the action?, saw that on EE for awhile. Seller dropped it down to 550 :O

would of bought it but I was nervous about the lack of trades.

It's actually really tight. Hate to use the term... we use it too much. So after we each shot it...I only had 0.429 diameter, will likely compress them a touch to get more diameter...I said "Built about like a set of Elevators"
Put about 17-18 gr of FFF in this one.
While admittedly nervous... I didn't flinch much... gonna be drop tube and compressed loads next time.
 
Ended up making a new firing pin too. The original was a minuscule point. Yeah the cartridge face is raggedy...was still figuring things out

No power tools used... having a healthy collection of gun parts doesn't mean I'm stupid ( well maybe... ), well not about tempering anyhow.
