Last night was our last Thursday of evening skeet, so just Sunday afternoon now. And only one more week of sporting clays league to go. Overall, we had less people at skeet, and our membership keeps getting older. Sporting clays is the opposite, with more members and more people in the league.

Next Thursday will be our final weeknight Trap shoot of the year, then it goes to the 3rd Sunday of the month only. There are a few different clubs close by so even in the winter it’s possible to shoot 3 weekends a month local to me so I guess I can’t complain too much

We shoot skeet every Sunday year round, weather permitting. Our cutoff is -12, with wind chill, so we usually lose 4-5 Sundays per year. We add Thursday evening in late April, through to the beginning of September.

Well you may have another shooter next year, we are moving to that area in the spring.
Not quite Camrose but close by, we just bought in Ryley Alberta.

We are always happy to welcome new members. You can find us online at Camrose Shooting Sports Association, we have skeet, trap, action bays, a pistol/rifle range and archery.

Edmonton Gun Club (Trap only) is winding down too.

Another 1-2 Wednesdays.
No more Thursdays or Saturdays.

Only Sundays remain, and probably only until early October.

I would agree but the last two shoots I attended there was a pretty good turnout, heading up to Kamloops end of the month for a 5 day 1300 bird event curious to see what the turnout there is ,

I hold membership at Lloydminster Gun Club & Athabasca Gun Club. Not sure when the informal days are shutting down as once waterfowl opens clay targets are forgotten in my calendar but I see Athabasca just held the first shoot of the 2026 Alberta Provincial Trapshooting Association calendar year last weekend and Lloydminster held the final for the 2025 registered season of the Saskatchewan Amateur Trapshooting Association.

Correct ,Spank weather could be iffy but last big one for this year.Club down here is having a 500 bird skeet event this weekend and they have 20 confirmed so that's not bad .

We had our sporting clays windup BBQ, so our season is done, and our squad took two trophies, a friend was top Super senior (75 years old), and I was top Senior(65 years old), and third overall for the season. We had a great meal, and now we are in the field chasing birds instead of shooting clays.
